"Where Fairytales Come to Life Through STEM"

Jr. STEM Summer Camp is designed especially for toddlers. This gentle, hands-on camp introduces children to early STEM through fairytales, building, sensory exploration, music, movement, outdoor play, and pretend play.

Each week, campers will explore a familiar story while building, sorting, testing, creating, moving, and discovering in age-appropriate ways.

jr. stem in camp experiences

Fairytale Sensory Lab

Toddlers will explore safe, hands-on sensory bins connected to each weekly story. Activities may include cotton clouds, bean “seeds,” soft bricks, water, scoops, textured materials, and story-themed sensory play.

Storybook Yoga

Campers will move their bodies through simple poses inspired by each story. This helps the camp feel calm, structured, and toddler-friendly while supporting movement and body awareness.

Water Play Wednesday

A summer favorite! Campers will enjoy age-appropriate water play connected to the weekly theme, including pouring, scooping, splashing, floating, and sinking.

Bubble Science Day

Campers will explore bubbles through blowing, popping, chasing, and observing. This is a fun and simple way for toddlers to experience early science.

Fairytale Dress-Up Day

Campers are invited to dress up in fairytale-inspired outfits. This makes the week fun, imaginative, and photo-friendly for families.

Build-a-House Challenge

Inspired by The Three Little Pigs, campers will use toddler-safe materials to build houses, towers, and structures. This connects to STEM Prep’s hands-on building and engineering focus.

Toddler Garden Lab

Inspired by Jack and the Beanstalk, campers will plant seeds or flowers, water them, observe growth, and take home their own plant project.

Stuffed Animal Story Picnic

Campers may bring a favorite stuffed animal for a cozy storytime picnic. This adds comfort, pretend play, and a sweet toddler-friendly camp tradition.

Music & Movement STEM

Campers will use scarves, rhythm sticks, bells, marching, dancing, and movement games to explore fast and slow, loud and soft, up and down, and stop and go.

Fairytale Family Celebration

At the end of camp, families will be invited to celebrate with photos, toddler creations, songs and certificates.

6 Weeks of Fairytale STEM

Week 1: The Gingerbread Man

Movement, paths, bridges, water, and sink or float
Campers will help the Gingerbread Man travel safely across pretend rivers, build simple bridges, explore water play, and test what floats and sinks.

Week 2: The Three Little Pigs

Building, materials, and strong structures
Campers will explore straw, sticks, blocks, and soft bricks as they build houses and test which materials help a house stay strong.

Week 3: Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Size, sorting, counting, temperature, and “just right” comparisons
Campers will sort big, medium, and small items, compare soft and hard textures, explore pretend porridge play, and build bear-sized structures.

Week 4: Jack and the Beanstalk

Plants, growing, height, and observation
Campers will plant seeds, explore soil, water plants, build tall beanstalk towers, and observe how living things grow.

Week 5: Little Red Riding Hood

Paths, maps, forest animals, and safe travel
Campers will explore simple maps, create forest paths, move like woodland animals, and practice safe ways to travel from one place to another.

Week 6: Rapunzel

Towers, height, balance, and design
Campers will build tall towers, explore balance, create pretend pulleys or baskets, and celebrate their fairytale STEM learning with families.
